Review

Digital Picture Recovery is a popular recovery utility. It can easily find and restore deleted, damaged, lost, missing images and folders with photos, snapshots, pictures and videos. The program was developed for use with photo media, but also it can be used on fixed drives. So you can restore your media from all hard disk drives and removable media drives such as Flash cards, Smart media, Sony memory stick, Floppy drive readers and many other memory cards.

The program restores many major file formats including Jpg, Bmp, Png, Tiff, Mpg, Giff, AVI movies, WAV, MID. In addition, it supports many world brands, including Canon (.CRW), Kodak (.DCR), Minolta (.MRW), Nikon (.NEF), Fuji (.RAF) and many more. Use the “Settings” window to control the types of recovered images.

This program is easy to use and doesn’t require any technical skills or training. When it starts, just point out a drive and then it will begin to scan and preview all deleted photos and images. You can select the appropriate ones and save them. You can try all features and capabilities with a free demo version. But unfortunately, this demo version is limited, so you won’t be able to save retrieved images.
Advantages
  • Supports all hard disk drives and removable media drives.
  • Restores many media formats.
  • Easy to use.
Disadvantages
  • Limited demo version.
  • Not free.
